Is that your head or heart?

Gronk’s bullshit was more egregious as someone mentioned and that fuck only got 1 game.
Remind me what Gronk did...I honestly don’t remember.
WWE elbow drop on the head of Buffalo defender that was on the ground. It was really bad also gronk had that steel arm brace on. Concussed the guy.

Remember the NFL's method for determining the severity of penalties for infractions:

Big media outrage + small infraction = Big penalty

Small media outrage + big infraction = small penalty

Let's see how big the media outrage over Garrett whacking Mason is.

It was up there with the bitch-ass move that Haynesworth pulled when he kicked the dude with no helmet on center for Dallas Gourde or something like that with the bottom of his cleats.

Nothing else to talk about NFL wise for 3 days. I mean fox, espn, nfl net, nbcsports, will talk about this for the entire day tomorrow.

Elbow to the back of the head. Concussed the player way after the play and whistle and in the out of bounds area.

Pretty good points in both posts. . With Mayfield’s throwing him under the bus, that will run all through Turkey Day. It may be a big suspension. He probably should have just said I didn’t see anything, now the NFL has to back Baker’s words up.

That made me laugh out loud at 1:00am on the east coast. Would have been awesome to see KC’s metamorphosis in the game thread tonight. Six Trophies was the next best thing. Another post that made me laugh out loud.

Rudolph called it pretty cowardly, pretty Bush league in post-game.

Thanks guys on the Gronk incident. I remember it now. That was bad...Garrett was worse. Swinging wildly at a guys bare head with a helmet...hit him a certain way and you kill him.
The NFL being all about concussions and head hits, has to send a deep message. I’ll be shocked if Garrett plays another down this year.

Not sure what Rudolph was supposed to do that drive? Offensive line is fucking terrible.
There is pressure but he isn’t moving.

And on the 2nd down throw away, he could have ran for about 15 yards up the field.
Move where exactly? There's guys in his face and from the side. He has no time whatsoever to do anything.
There was time to make plays—there just wasn’t enough time to play the way he plays. So methodical and statuesque.

Hard to believe Reggie’s comment.

I just played high school and tried a D1 walk-on after a D3 miserable school transfer.

I remember my sophomore year...playing a parochial bullshit “recruiting” central Pennsylvania school, against our school who was still AA but didn’t have the population to support it, and had not yet been down graded to single A.

They were undefeated. Last game of the year. We had 16 people on our team. Cold as shit! Field was full of frozen mud, like playing on circular saw blades. We got stomped! 42 nothing I believe.

Then at some point there was a cloud of dust and both benches cleared...kicking, screaming, fists swinging. It was crazy. I was way too cold to get involved with a 30-40 person team versus our 16. But it was quite a site. Suspensions in school that Monday. Video reviews. The whole nine yards.

Can’t believe Bush doesn’t have at least one similar story in all his football history.

What stops me from thinking it will be season- ending suspension is how he was struck, that it didn't result in apparent injury, and that he said he felt fine in post-game.

Would like to be wrong.

But should be multiple games regardless.

Thank you B2B.

For the love of Christ, the Mason lovers, please go rewatch the game and focus in on Mason vs. Baker.

You know who else was far from great tonight? Baker Mayfield. He’s a 2nd overall pick and is nothing more than a good QB.

But the plays he made tonight? He made them because he’s got good pocket presence and knows when to make a move outside to keep a play alive and throw downfield. That was pretty much the difference beyond Mason’s awful INTs was a few throws downfield with Baker using his feet to make a play. Good to great QBs in this league do that. Mediocre QBs do what Mason does.

He’s average. Period. End of story.

Keep in mind the context of Gronk’s. I am pretty sure that was peak concussion news, which made it crazy. He could have broken the dude’s neck with the facemask as a fulcrum. Reminded me of the curb stomp on American History X. I am not sure those were all the camera angles either. Thought there was one that just made you cringe. Probably splitting hairs. At least Mason knew he was in a fight. The Gronk sucker elbow victim had no clue whatsoever.

B2B please make this a sticky quote! Anyone who wants to post praise about Mason should have to sign a paper that acknowledges you have read this quote!

I would add to the quote “ and looks like a medium budget porn star.”

Also - the coaches wanted to go into this season with a whole lotta average on offense, this is what you get.

Johnny Holton caught his first pass of the season tonoght; 10 weeks in.

Um, yeah.

Conner is a china doll. Samuels is a decent back. Everyone else sucks.

JJSS is a good #2 at the most. I like DJ but man, everyone else is just so-so.

Meaning, this is what you get when you build a really fucking average offense. They will not win you games. Even with Ben out, a few playmakers on this offense is all we need. But nope, we have Johnny Holton, Edmunds and a bunch of average joes running around out there.

Next season we need WR#1 and RB#1 no question.

Because playmakers grow on trees and they were too stupid to just walk up to the playmaker tree and pluck some off before the season started?

Look at it from the point of view of last season. JuJu was really good the previous two seasons, Conner was prolific last year, Samuels showed a lot of promise, McDonald had made plays, they were counting on Washington stepping up, they thought Moncrief would at least play as well as he had previously. They thought it wouldn't be a bad group if you have Ben at QB. Maybe it isn't if you have Ben a QB.

Haynseworth got 5 games for the head stomp. So that is the starting point as far as I am concerned.

One is a Patriot and one was a Titan is my best guess which is actually the truth behind the story.

Also the player hurt was a Cowboy by Haynseworth and the other a Bill by Gronk.
