Additionally, it would be a shit ass play design for that route to be the fourth read. Teams use that route combo at the goal line to get a guy open in the flat ALL THE TIME.

Because it's the fucking shortest pass. In Euclidian geometry the shortest distance between two points is a straight line.

Darnell Washington is a mountain of a man. Throwing it to him there probably should have been the first read. Throw the fucking ball up to that guy and hope he comes down with it. I think Freiermuth was on the field too and couldn't get open.

Pressure had been getting to PIckett quickly. Christ both Jones and Warren whiffed on a block causing a sack and Arizona's pressure early was plenty successful in making Pickett uncomfortable.

That's why I believe Pickett looked in front of him, saw both TE's covered, looked to the back....and he was covered and then decided to try and score by himself....and nearly did.

I've said throwing it outside was probably the best play in hindsight and if you want to blame Pickett's inability to process his reads fast enough, I have no problem with that.

I just think it's a little more complicated. Outside throws have a much higher chance of being picked and Calvin Austin ain't running through anybody if that DB can get to the corner in time to challenge him.

He's had major problems with turnovers and we all remember how things went for Mitch last year, when he was booed off the field in the Jets game.

I truly hope the guy simply makes the plays that are there. Uses his legs whenever possible and doesn't force balls down the field.

Steelers have two qbs that can not get past their first reads. Kenny processing is so slow . For a guy that was 25 and pro ready that is unacceptable.
